I am using unusually small jars since I didn't have the funds for larger ones, I'm sure they will work just the same what do you think? the strand is B+ in case anyone was wondering, any tips on this particular kind of cube?
They will work .B+ is a good strain .growth parameters are those of any cube so just follow a tec do u have one in mind?
not sure what the Tek is called but here is a summery of what i'm doing: i soaked rye grain prepped them for the pot put those cuties in a big pot (on spare lids) then steam boiled/pressure cooked them for about an hour and 20 minuets inoculated them after they cooled (this morning) after they colonize i'm putting the spawn in my little tub, along with a coir/verm substrate after that im just keeping them misted and fanned as soon as they need to i have no idea what this kind is called but there's that. is indirect sunlight necessary once they pin?
Got any pics ? Did you pressure cook the grains or steam boil them ? Sounds like youre on the right track. I grew some bunk B+ years ago and then i read posts where people complain of little or no potency. B+ got the name Bullshit+ . I hope someone fixed the problem. On the flip side there were many people chimed in that grew B+ and it was perfectly fine. Please post any potency deficiencies or even if they come out super potent. Let us all know whats going on with B+ these days.
copy that I'll be sure to update on how potent they are, im a lightweight myself so i will include report on some of my buyers and friends that take some as well i do not have any photos i can post ATM but i'll take some and post them here in this thread. may be a day or so before i have a chance to upload To answer to your question i put them in a pot with a couple inches of water and let it boil with the lid on for a little over an hour, so i guess steam boiled?
I'm going to save you a lot of time right now. You dont even have to post pics of the grains cause if you boiled them for over an hour then they most likely split or burst and become unusefull. You will innoculate them and they will contaminate. You need a better hydration method for certain. Try this method and you wont burst a single grain....https://mycotek.org/index.php?threads/9349/. The powdered food grade gypsum is optional so if you dont have any on hand you can still get going right away.
to my surprise the grain are actually just fine, i only brought my stove up to 70% power and added warm water at the 40 minuet mark (this instantly stopped boiling for about 8 minuets) so i guess i may have just barley saved them. thanks for the Tek though I'll use that one next time
A tec is just a guide on how to do things look like u did your home work so alls good ! Looking forward to seeing how u do.I grew b+ when I first started and the potency was decent. Not great but not bad I think a lot of the issues with them comes from people letting them get to big before picking but this is only a guess .good luck.
Figured i would chime in here, New to the forums here but not at all new to growing, just got started back up again after a bit of a break due to where i was living but now am able to do as i please again. Now anyways I grew B+ was one of the first variety of cube I ever got my hands on, and they were potent as hell... People still talk about them to this day about how good those were and that it sucks i don't grow them anymore (until recently again ) starting with albino penis envy and golden teachers this time Hopefully trade some prints once i get my first flush off to get some more variety again! I still have a print from that B+ variety but i doubt they will germinate, I'll try it when i make up another batch of agar.
