Newbie - Not sure if I have Contamination

    I am a newbie... I built a SAB. Purchased some swabs from a "trusted vendor" and swabbed 12 dishes.
    I seem to have the same growth on all my dishes.

    One small spot of mold in Choade dish 1 but the rest look pretty clean

    How much spore sollution do you innoculate your plates with? I put one-two drops and have plates that show no signs of life.

    That's from swabs.
    With single syringe drops chances are, that contamned liquid sits in place and won't germinate.
    Streaking spores out makes it easier to identify contams and transfer away from them.

    OP needs to make transfers now :wink2:

    EDIT: In the very first post the second pic:

    These upper spots could be bad mold, but it`s blurry to judge definitely.
    In case these spots are brown mold, i wouldn`t care much about that plate and just toss it.

    That one you marked is some aspergillus or penicillium mold, you may transfer from that plate,
    but you should be careful in handling to keep that mold calm, it will easily spread through
    the air when disturbed. Not for your health, just for your grow place.

    no it was mold.
