finally! someone to back me up lol. yes, sometimes a major difference imo. they have the potential to get to azure potency.. though the two are quite different and hard to compare.

i have some documentation regarding the increase of alkaloids in cordyceps when grown on millet. some other medicinal species as well, can't remember atm.. anyways if i can find it i'll post. there's also something i remember RR posting in regards to the use of snake venom. they also noted the same observation with cordyceps and millet.

Ps. semperviva was Roger Heim's pick for the new species, which Guzman later changed to Ps. Hoogshagenii var. convexa. I prefer Roger Heim's original name as it reflects the vivacity of the mycelium, but am aware it is outdated.

Would it (millet) also work on other P. species? Like cubes for example?

Interesting to know about millet... do all of you who use millet use straight millet? Hulled or unhulled? How do you prep? (Perhaps this warrants its own thread?) Fantastic looking grow.

so in fact wbs would do better potency-wise to the rye, because it already contains millet? So if i wanna make any P. strong ... damn it we are overthrowing the thread. Let's make a special millet thread for these questions...

considering the innoc points, the fast sterile times,
and, the fact ya can make many at once..........

i doubt ya have anything that big ,
that fert millets cant a handle 3 sheets..............

i use em sort of like 3D agar,
and they can be used to fuel scale farms.

as a bonus , contams are easily seen,
transfer with long tweezers in seconds.........

the teks ya needed yesterday........today .
jaguarette, and mycotek, on a screen near you!

unhulled, straight or mixed and either RR's soak, simmer and steam dry or "major's method of madness grain prep" by loading grain and water in jars and PCing.

    Never hulled.

I bought a bag of that by mistake, and ended up grinding it
to use in MF (a la "BRF") cakes.

    Good luck,

    JD
