Asbestos? What of it?
It's dangerous to breathe but useful for fireproofing walls.
if you are referring to asbestos in vermiculite from what i understand asbestos was found a very small amount in a few samples of some verm, however it must not have amounted to much or they would have taken verm off the shelf if that was a consistent find. i worked at a caterpillar reman facility for a little while and they had a line for reworking brake pads, huge brake pads, and that whole line had to wear hazmat suits and respirators within so many feet of the line, there were huge air intakes over the whole line sucking the dust particles up. half those fockers wouldn't wear their respirators and the supervisors didn't enforce it, even though tests found asbestos in the dust samples collected from the lines and brake pads. the supervisors and line workers said they didn't wear their gear because OSHA was just blowing it out of proportion and they didn't believe there was enough of it to cause any harm.
Package on both said "Asbestos Free" same brand too.
ya... thats what I was refering to.... and in my area they almost killed vermiculite... its still really hard to find.... almost impossible.... verm is a weird substance.
Home Depot has it. It's in Bay 50 in a big green bag.
Brown bag, sorry. Green bag is perlite.
good looking cause the people that work there are FUCKING RETARDED....
I have a grow shop I found that sells it either in 10 or 50 lbs.
Not retarded, simply ignorant; they just don't know. I knew and still couldn't find it, I had to ask.
But I had the item number when I went in, so that made all the difference.
"Prior planning prevents piss-poor performance"
nice use of alliteration doc, lol
I didn't invent the saying, I just pass it along once in a while.
Separate names with a comma.
