here are some pics of wild cubensis found around here. the thought and smell of these make me sick i can't stand to handle them but they are so fascinating, especially when you consider these are growing just on the edge of town next to a nice little subdivided neighborhood in a "good part" of town. if they only knew, lol. anyway on with the pics.

these are some really nice looking ones, they are super white at the edges. the pins are caramel colored and frosty looking, it's so cool finding these so close to home after all the hours of searching i did when i was a teen!

    very nice pics Major!

the only thing that concerns me is the lack of blue. any chance they could be Stropharia semiglobata?

and in the third to last pic, the small brown mushroom growing with it is Panaeolus papilionaceus just in case you were wondering:cool:

heres the ones from today, every night about two hours from dark i water the pile, the middle is a good bit colonized by all the broken colonized patties but it's also colonized by ants, slugs, and snails and i don't have any way to keep them out right now. i want to keep the pile going as long as i can, they are in the shade and as long as they keep from drying out they will grow up thru august as long as i can keep adding in a little uncolonized poo for it to keep eating. heres the pics, the flower is a nice squash blossom from the garden, every time i go out there there is more squash ready to pic, all organic, tomorrows supper will include one of my favorite dishes: squash and cheese!

yeah the cut open fedora type hat like jughead wore, think of a top down view of that hat.
i'm gonna try to get pics in the morning when i take pics of the new cubes coming up. there are also some shaggy little coprinus var. mushrooms there too. it's crazy what grows on a pile of cow poo if you keep it watered. every day i go out there there's more pins of all the different kinds present. the slugs and ants are killin' me though, they are definitely getting their cut, lol!
