Hey bro. Nope. No hermie from #2 am it actually ended up expressing its terps a lot more than I thought it was going to. It's still not anywhere near as pungent as the ugly one with the higher leaf ratio. That one is in flower now on its second run and taking its sweet as time in the cloner. It looks way better this run tho and its throwing hairs everywhere so I'm hoping the Calyx ratio improves. I just sampled a nug and its nothing like I would have imagined a cross of these strains would taste like. It tastes like oatmeal cookies with a sour after bite.
I'm glad she didn't hermie on ya! Love me some unique surprise tasting crosses. Oatmeal cookies you say? That sounds delicious. -DZ
Looks delicious. Why do you have so many dead and yellow leaves? That would bother me. I know the bud is all that matters and its good.
It happens at the end of a 72 day run to some degree all the time. The plants start striping nitrogen and putting the energy into flower production in desperation to reproduce. Stresses on the plants intensify this tho and some strains it happens worse than others. Generally sativas are more prone to it than indicas.
I always take it as a good sign when close to harvest flowers have yellowing leaves, I know it won't be chloriFULL lol.... And I can trust that it was prolly leached of excess fert salts
No fert salts here. I use Epsom salt very sparingly but aside from that and the acid in the cleaRez I clone with everything I do is 110% organic. I don't really consider Epsom salt inorganic but I know technically it is a chemical. I only use 1 tablespoon per 5 gal bucket of water once every 3-4 weeks throughout their lifecycle tho so there definitely shouldn't be any salt build up at those application rates....
I edited my post... What I meant to say was I CAN trust it HAS been leached of ferts from the yellowing leaves. My bad
Nice looking crop Prof, and you let them go longer this time. The calyx' s are nice and swollen. Nothing wrong with the yellowing fans at this point. That's gonna be killer smoke. That's a good example of a fully mature plant @treewood. If the small bud leaves were brown and dying that's a problem as the petiole is surrounded by bud and will rot causing mold in the buds. Also a sign you've under-fed or had other issues during flowering.
5 a.m. the vapor starts to blow around these here parts my friend. I'll put some extra beans in the pot and make sure to brew it up extra strong. I'll make sure to tell the Mrs. There's compony coming.. I'll leave the light on in the breezeway for ya'....
