Anyone a bug person?

    I found this weird looking thing and cant figure out what it is. Found it in the sierras in the US.

    After a few more searches, i think this is a sun spider or camel spider. Scary stuff

    Looks like someone put a spider and a grasshopper together and they made 'sweet love down by the fire'. This is their baby. As if spiders weren't fast enough, now they've gone and streamlined them.

    Hello, off the jump I would say that it is not an Arachnid due to the fact that all arachnids (spiders) have 8 legs... It has been a few years since schooling and I will have to do a little digging but thanks for sparking the creative challenge

    I'm a bug person. And those are sun spiders. They're fascinating creatures and have one of the nastiest bites. Super cute though!

    But they're not bugs. In the Aracniae family. :)

    I have been mistaken before and this certainly won't be the last.
    Yes. Well I seem to learn something new everyday. 8 legs connected to abdomen. The elongated pedipalps got me. :)
