If it was not so cold on the fingers i would take pics of every fruitbody i seen especially things which resemble my holy grail (Ps Cyanescens) it is strange how taking photos with a dry camera makes your hands freezing but being elbow deep in wet grass with a handfull of lightly frozen fungi and your fingers are as warm as the fish variety.

It is good that you are willing to help those that might eat the wrong thing, i never eat anything i can not fully identify and after that cull of the crop process i then weed out any which are what i am after but are degraded specimens , partially degraded psilocybin is like trying to work out a broken mathematical puzzle with no solution on a countdown clock in your head.

I do not mind the pan subs or foeinseciii but the potency of the Semilanceata is what i am after, in this particular site i have been visiting it for over 15 years, each season whilst picking i make a special point of all the fruitbodies i see which are past there prime in the field or any dropping spores then i pick them and wave them in the breeze, this season i advanced the technique, i went on my mountainbike, got a decent haul with lots of very ripe spore dropping fruits, i put them between my knuckles with the heads up and grabbed my handlebars and went for a ride around all the green belt area of my city near me, maybe it has an effect maybe it doesn't but it feels good thinking about it as i disolve into a pool of sentient liquid

There's dedication for you. Something very special about being up early, out in the damp fields, collecting the little fellas.

It was a perfect morning, last rain was 2am and when i got there the morning dew was glistening (i never realised how arty that looks until you mentioned it)

Weller my friend if you were to happen to stumble upon some of these and tasted thier clean righteous potency you would understand my devotion, been an awesome season so far.

No problems on that extra print BTW

Here is something great and grose at the same time and a good tip for any wild hunters out there

There is one other creature on this planet who is as fond of Psilocybians and us humons, that is the humble Fungi Gnat and its larvy. I estimate i have eaten several million of these little fuckers in my life, we checked one time in really fresh shrooms and it averages 4 larva per fruitbody, so if like me you eat around 200 little fresh liberty caps per go then you like me eat around 1000 larvy (mmmm meaty) per trip.

I noticed that when drying your shrooms on newspaper the larva try to make a run (wiggle) for it to save their lives, away from the drying fruits leaving a little trail of moisture as they dry out and die about 3 inches from the shroom they called home.

Here is the tip, dry your wild shrooms on newspaper in an area with moving air so they dry properly but not too fast, many of the larva will make a run for it and perish, the rest perish inside the shrooms, transfer your dried shrooms onto a piece of flexible cardboard and gently vibrate, the dried wee meaty bodies are denser than your dried shrooms and they just fall out into a pile, remove shroosm and your left with what you see in the photo's, zoom in for the gory detail

I remember those little fuckers making a break for it as we dried our libs. Just a bit of protein though to sustain you through a profound trip.

Yup im sure there are still many left inside but that is quite a pile of meat removed from just that little pile of shrooms in the middle picture

My reasoning on eating them is that all they have eaten since birth is the shroom they live on so they are probably active, studies need done to test on the total % psilocybin in fungi gnat larvy found on psilocybes

Fresh and dried samples of course. I think they would go down easier than the mushrooms. Let us know your findings my friend :awetongue:
