Pink oyster advice based on images

    Got more good news about the two contaminated blocks I got sent. 2 fresh ones on the way from both companys

    Yup, I was just trying it out at first, I just got everything I need to start from spores. Just gotta do some trial and error now haha

    U can clone oyster to plain wet cardboard they love it and u won’t have to start from spores .Glad u got some fruits feng they are great eating .

    Ok, I collected some field dry horse manure, verm, choir, and gypsum for a bulk substrate. Are you talking about cloning them on plain cardboard like I would with a wedge placed on agar?

    yea i like to call it redneck agar lol! Just soak cardboard and pull apart so ridges are showing and then sterilize in Microwave and place into wedges of cardboard... you can use coffee grounds but make sure sure sure they are clean as they will tam fast!

    Late to the party but I'll second that it looks typical of FAE issues. Sometimes it can just be a trait of that batch. My Pink Oysters tended to always be a bit odd looking but perfectly tasty. They seemed a bit finicky over all compared to other oyster strains

    My pinks were ugly even when grown with other oysters that did well in the same environment.think they are just a touchy strain
