So recently I got got back into the hobby after a while after a friend mentioned an interest. We started some KO (from an old print I took years ago) onto plates and things are starting to happen (approximately 1.5 weeks in).

On my end I have a spot of the old familiar trich. (Not even mad to see it, was quite expected)

On his there is a spot which looks quite possibly like mycelium. Its hard to say as we meet occasionally and I'm basing off pictures.

Planning to isolate as the spores are old, so I'm expecting contamination.

I'm just stoked to be back In it.

Apologies for formatting... Gotta figure out how to do it again.

We're still waiting. I'd estimate we have at least a week and a half before we could possibly do any transfers (starting from spore is soooooo slow). If it hadn't been so long I would not have even bothered checking the plates yet.

Agar is a bit more... temperamental for sure. Once you get the knack though, it's the bee's knees. Happy to help answer questions on it if you have any. Once I got going with it it was fairly simple.
