New Member Its been almost 2 weeks since I injected the spores into the brf cakes,started off with 5 cakes now because of contamination im left with 4 jars,has anyone grown brf cakes in a monotub.
Let them continue to grow in the jars..i havent fruited cakes in a monotub yet...my shotgun chamber took a little learning but worked out.
2 weeks in i have 3 jars which have dome growth to them and 1 them has no mycelium growth on it,3rd one to the right looks like it has bluish spots on it
Yeah they have lids on them with 4 holes on top,I left the aluminum foil that midwest grow shipped them in
The blue is a mold so I’d toss it open outside to prevent it from spreading.it happens try to figure your contamination vector .in your case prob your needle are spore syringe most likely. Reboot and roll again my friend.
Monotub should be fine. You really have to watch the moisture tho. You can always just drill holes in the monotub and convert it to a sgfc. Having holes on all sides makes a big difference.
There's blue spots but its not on the white mycelium,it does have a funny smell to it,I was looking forward to keeping it
I had 1 other jar I had to throw away because it had bluish spots mixed into the white spots but this seems like its not mixed
My first little mushrooms are growing ( barely) only in the blue area of my pf cakes. Right on the top edge... I took them out of the sgfc after 2 weeks of getting just one pin. Then I put them in my monotub with perlite and I’m praying this helps them. I have 2 tiny shrooms and maybe 2 pins now. I’m also putting a glass of steaming h20 occasionally to raise humidity. Has anyone else done this with success?
Try resoaking them for 12hrs, I had a hard time keeping humidity up in a sgfc myself and was successful after resoaking/rehydrate
