So I've been doing some thinking and reading and we know mushroom don't use light for photosynthesis but rather a source of direction to grow. But would a longer light cycle like say 16/8 or even 20/4 make the fruits produce faster? has any body ever done it and noticed a difference in fruiting?

Also casing. Who out there is casing their monotubs. Why? With what? What difference in fruiting and flushes does it make? More flushes? More even canopy? Better yield? Do you change the casing layer with every flush/soak? Give me the run down
