Ok I have a Transkei all in one kit that won’t fruit. Has overlay stroma Is bruising blue Can I sterile a fork and gently scrape the mycelium to get something happening. I’m considering a small fruiting chamber with moist perilite in the bottom. It won’t be up to tech specs but I am getting so frustrated! This is thev2nf Transkei Kit I’ve had that refused to fruit; the first one had some green mold so I put it in my spent mushroom substrate garden!!

Yes. Wipe a fork with alcohol and scratch up the top layer.

In a tub misting and fanning No progress yet The kit is heading for my substrate graveyard Any instructions on how to care for it. I have taken the-roots off the bottom of a few picked shrooms have them between two sheets of wet corrugated cardboard and they are forming mycelium. So I am putting this in my garden. I have learned that I have been watering a little too much. That’s what you get from reading too much information. I put Paul Stamets book info ahead of all other.I know this is changing subjects and I apologize Just upping the information.

You don’t think this will disturb the process

It will create a better fruiting surface.

In the tub thanks and doing better. I can tell because the mycelium is improving, where it was dried up along the lip of the container,it is no longer dried but nice and white. My question today is, is it ok to put another kit in there. There is plenty of space and no contamination on either. I should say that I already ,just, put the other kit in. It is going no where kind of stalled so because the other one is doing better I’m hoping the second one will move along

Been in tub for a couple of weeks. I see changes Little bumps on the surface of the transkensi kit and primordial forming on the top of the B+ I wish there was something more to do. I cannot afford all the stuff to start on my own so for now this is it! I have so many spore prints but I understand they are good for awhile in the fridge.

red at you are a mushroom doctor After I handled the kits, peeled of mycelium etc. Then Dathi101 gave me advice to put them in a tub, mist and fan. My question is how long do you think that it will take them to totally recover? Oh and I saw a small pin emerging from the B+ Kit this morning Hopfully it will continue to grow!

It’s hard to say an exact time. It always takes my tubs a few weeks.

I watched a yutube video of a guy taking a tub and layering it with coco coir vermiculite and a surface layer of coco coir and adding inoculated grain. He lightly mixed the grain into the coco coir. My question is could I do this and break up the two kits and add them. Do you think this could work?

Little tiny pins: and not many appear and the stay the same or disappear: There is mycelium: on both kits: I’m gonna upload a picture for you to see what I am saying about the mycelium and the little pins if I can get a good pic hopefully. How come you want to know if they are already growing. Do you think they are ok to use as a transfer to a substrate?

Dont break them up. Do you remember the date that you put them into fruiting conditions ? What the RH in your fruiting chamber ?

Approximately March 29th I absolutely was shocked when I discovered how long the kits have been in the tub. I have no idea what the RH is in the fruiting chamber. Which tool do I use to measure the RH? How can you tell I am such a rookie. I keep them misted and fanned.I honestly need to educate myself on this subject.
