The title says it all, i've been trying to monotub the lion's mane and had various results which convinved me I need to have a more open air style martha tent situation, so i started setting that up and put my spent blocks outside and left them to nature, today thanks to Momma nature i feasted on my first Lion's Mane

fried for about 15 minutes in total, until all the butter and oil had reduced down nicely and the fungi slices had some nice caramalised colouring, this is by far the meatiest textured non meat i've ever eaten, with the right flavourings add (like bacon) you'd think it was pulled pork with bacon in, back to the pics bod eh sheesh :D

cooking up some heat, seasoned with freshly ground pepper and sea salt

That's awesome man, I'm starting to get the itch to grow something again myself, started searching for some used tools of the trade last night. As the pic was loading it reminded me of that star trek episode with all the little fur balls filling up the ship .

Would you say there's a difference between the taste of the outdoor ones to the indoor ones just curious

The fungi variety was brand new to me so even when it all went wrong it was excitement all the way, then when momma nature took my trash and gave me food and i tasted it my desire to succeed grew, my outdoor climate at the time gave me all the clues to why my indoor one wasn't right

How was your martha set up Bod?

I've a couple of old grow tents here I'm pondering putting to use over the winter in the garage for some edible mushie growing.

Was thinking about just rigging an old 5inch can fan up to a humidistat to cycle the air when it gets too high in the RH and a humidifier to run alongside it.

    Simple. Like me.

Don't need a co2 monitor is my first tip, basically anything more than normal co2 in air for us is not good for growth for us or fungi, so fit an exhaust and fan and have it go on for 15 mins and off for 30 and repeat constantly and venting outside for spores n shit, when tent is full of mushroom fruit bodies have exhaust fan on 15 mins and off 15 on repeat to deal with extra co2 being released.

Keep temps stable with a basic heater on a plug thermostat, humidity best provided with a little machine as they need regularly cleaned to remove limescale, most have own hygrometer so set itnto 90% and your buzzing there, having a huge water tank for your humidity machine that you hardly need to do anything too is a false hope for us, limescale damages the things that create the mist, so every 3 days they need soaked in white vinegar
