Just wanted to put this out there...this more or less applies to all realms of botany and horticulture, if you haven't heard of this book have a look. It is a database for all active plants (and some animals). It gives per species, breakdowns, chemical make ups, I mean...bloody well EVERYTHING about a plant in question. I mean everything (ex. the difference in active compounds found in the common Passion Flower between the flower, leave and stem. This is a very important thing to know when buying it as some folks will tout the flowers being best [false] while others will sell you raw amounts of plant [mostly stem] and only high quality sellers sell strictly leaves [highest possible active compounds found in the leaves])

I posted this because its a very expensive, limited and hard to reach book. So if anyone had any specific/technical questions that could be answered with this book, I'm happy to try to provide some more top-end answers for you. Since I have a copy. Don't think I made the post clear enough. =)

    Hey Meph,

It is good to see you here.

BTW, can you post the ISBN for that book? I could not find it by author name.
(and the title has too many hits)

    Thanks!

It doesn't have an ISBN because it is custom printed and only 500 copies made. The link I gave is where you'd order one and get the info on it. Its retail $100 + $50-70 shipping to North America.

And its great to see you here too Javadog, long time no see =D

Damn! Why such a private print and such a small number of copies? Is there no one on the part of companies to sell this? I think it would bring price/postage down and make some real money to the author. And the most important thing: it would make a book available to more peeps...

Agreed. One can't even think about scanning it in because of how tiny the print is and how massive it is. 1000+ pages...that'd be a nightmare.

gah, sad to see such a reference OoP and no clear indication it will see 2nd Ed.
I may gladly take you up on your offer, but this is the sort of resource i love to just... immerse myself in.

    edit
I see a shaman site in down under has a thread dedicated to finding copies, and ppl that contacted snu, regarding him printing a 2nd Ed and maybe releasing a digi format for a lower cost. I hope that he does one or the other, though he said he would like to do a new edition if he releases digi also.
