Hey guys. I've been growing for a few months now and everything has been going relatively smooth. I've been drooling at everyone elses plants for years so I ordered seeds from your suggestions as to which plants have exceptional weed. So far I've grown Sensi Seeds Hash Plant and Nirvana Papaya and both were great. I just germinated Pineapple Express,Super Critical and Aurora Indica Using the paper towel method and they all popped out tails. The problem is I put a Somango in damp paper towels and it never sprouted along with the rest. Thank god I ordered two Somango seeds and put the second seed in the same damp paper towel as the first and it sprouted in a day. So I've got this one Somango seed that's been sitting in a damp paper towel for four days......Should I give it a few more days ? Is there a tactic to get a tough seed to sprout ? Any suggestions would be great because I think I spent somewhere between $20-$25 for it.

ill have too rewrite my seed tek for this site. there are very easy ways to keep your seeds at the right temp. alot people hate me for the idea but ive found that it works almost 80% of the time in the right conditions. all i do is take a strand of old (non LED) christmas lights lay them flat cover with sand and plug them in the heat from the lights will evenly heat the sand creating an almost perfect atmosphere for your seeds. ill rewrite the tek and take pictures. i usualy just use an old trey that you buy there like 2-3 feet long 2 feet wide i think its standard in the growing indstury just make sure there is sand under the lights also so they arnt just heating up the plastic of the trey. from my experiences with this tek the 8-9 inch humidity dome works perfectly i dont see why a plastic bag or pot with a dome wouldnt create the same greenhouse effect on the seed/plant

last time the aurora done 11 weeks from the day of changing to 12/12, took 7 days to react, 8 weeks on nutrients and then 2 weeks plain water, main thing with aurora indica is she does not like to have her top cropped, just does not respond well and turns into a hundred spaghetti arms weaving al over trying to be top dog and none of them winning, still delicious smoke but left to grow normal you get a fucking huge fat cola on each branch

Thanks for all the info. I was gonna top the Aurora Indica but now i'm not gonna. I guess I rushed it a bit by popping another Somango seed to germinate so soon....shoulda waited longer. As long as I get one Somango plant that I can clone I'll be happy. I'm gonna give the seed another another two weeks in the paper towel.

Sometimes it helps to scuff up the hard to pop seeds. I take some medium grade sand paper and put it in the bottom of a small box. Then put the seed on top, close and shake it a bit. Sativa or mostly saliva strains commonly need this. Happy growing

:whathesaid1: I generally use this method for all my seeds.

Figure that I would add my 2 cents..
    1) In the future I suggest placing your seeds in the refrigerator for a week to act as vernalization. This will give them more vigor.
    2) scarify the seeds, matchbox with 200 grit sandpaper cut to fit on the inside of the box. Shake for 20 seconds. This acts as a way to weaken the seed coat. Allowing moisture to penetrate that hard shell more easily (in nature the soil composition with sand in it would do this over winter)
    3) paper towel should be at field capacity and placed in a plastic bag. important that it stays warm and dark. Seeds can pop in 24 hours with this method
Good luck and keep em poppin
