First thank you for the warm welcome. Never felt so invited as I have coming to this board!

I wanted to share a recent gem I found within a pack of 11 seeds. The pheno #4 of White Fire Alien by OG Raskal. Out of the pack I ended up with 5 females. #4 appears to be the winner. She has a beautiful uniform shape on her extremely frosty buds. She smells funky and fruity but isn't very strong or disappointing. I suppose I'll know better after the cure and share my smoke report here as well :)

Her sister, the WifiA#5 would also have been a keeper if she didn't hermie on the lower branches. She ended up pollinating herself and her sisters a bit..

So this is them at 53 days of flower. They have been flowering under a BlackDog 750 along another GrowStealth 495W (yes true watts) mixed spectrum fixture I bought many years ago when I didn't know shit about LED panels lol.

So, they have been incredibly easy to care for.. The only problem with some of them were the stretch. The LED panels are probably more to blame for this anyways but it still something I was able to manage with string and bamboo shoot.

I grow SCROG style and I happened to this round come into my first encounter with mushrooms growing ontop of my media. Not just a few mushrooms... a LOT of them. They just started popping up everywhere and only on this particular table.

I do use a mixture of coco coir, coco chips, and Promix HP as my medium of choice. I've found that it provides great drainage and plenty of "fluffiness" from all the coco chips. I also use a lot of mycorrhizae and teas aiming to promote a healthy environment for beneficial fungi and bacteria. This time I guess I went a bit too far because these caps have been appearing throughout the entire grow! The plants look beautiful, vibrant and healthy so I don't believe they are interfering with anything. I also avoid using trichoderma whenever possible so could that be it? lol I have no idea but they are cool.

My girlfriend convinced me not to eat them, she was worried that I could die. I saw her point of view and figured I'm getting too old for this shit anyways lol. So do any of you kind fellas have a guess as to what type of mushrooms these are and if they are suitable for human consumption? I love mushrooms of essentially every variety so I'd be delighted if this was the case!

Thanks for tuning in! I'll share more pics as the harvest day nears!

Welcome to Myco-tek! Looks like some good genetics you got there!

Do not eat the mushrooms. They look like Leucocoprinus sp. maybe brebissonii, which are poisonous.

An Expert Identifier should be around to give a better ID.

Thanks fellas! Always glad to avoid being poisoned.

These are really amazing genetics and I saved pollen from my smelliest male. I hope I made a good selection and be able to make some F2's and other crosses. Would be cool to see how she crossed with my GG#4 or Snow Dawg. Thanks again for the input guys. I knew I came to the right place!

We can definitely make that happen. I'll be saving pollen and making crosses with the Top Dawg strains as well so the genetic dice will be rolled in 2016 my friend!

That looks like a killer plant Dcvr-z!
Def very interested in pollination/crosses myself. :hehehe:
Looks like there is a plethora of good genetics here that are going to be sifted thru.
Guaranteed fire gonna be found for sure.
I bet we could probably create some cool ass crosses around here.
This seems to be the same thing that breeders are doing elsewhere, lol...

Thanks Weller! The White Fire Alien genetics are "The White Clone x Fire Alien Kush male." Now i have no idea what either of these parents are like so I'm not sure what to expect. I've been keeping my temps between 73 and 77 degrees so as to preserve as many terpenes as possible but she's still not one of those smack you in da face aromas. I think OGraskal may have bred these for their frost, not necessarily for their smell/flavor. I could be wrong. Like I said, she's not disappointing in her smell but the true test in this regard only comes after the cure.

Thank you for personally inviting me here Prof! :clap1:

It's a great feel as everyone has been so friendly and inviting. It's great to belong to such a cool group! My plan for 2016 is to step up my growing game to the next level. This year I am focusing on breeding and learning more about making proper selections. I've been using a local lab to test my strains so this will also be an advantage when assigning weighted values to my decision matrix.

I'm also working on obtaining a local CBD cut of Harlequin that was tested at 20% CBD. Not to go off on a tangent or anything but I believe we should ALL be trying to grow some CBD when we can. When used in conjunction with THC, it can be very valuable medicine!

    Hey bro,

Yea we intended on this place having good vibes when we started it and have keep true to our goal at the beginning. We started it specifically because there are a lot of bad vibes on the other larger forums on the topics of our hobbies.

As soon as I have more room I'll start to run some CBD strains. At the moment I only have so much space tho and that could be a seed I could pop in its space under the footprint. Once I have a bigger place in a couple years I would love to run one tho.

That's cool you know of a local lab. That would come im handy lol.

Here's a another update on the WiFi Alien #4. Photo taken by my lady who believes she smells like a classic OG. I will have to agree that it does have that and more.. I'm excited to see what she's like!
    _DSC0623 (Large).JPG

Here's a pic of pheno #1 *also taken by my lovely lady. She has a nice structure but is extra stretchy and appears to be behind her sisters.. You can tell she's not as frosty as the #4 but hey, she might still end up being a better smoke. Can't judge a book by its cover right.. eh sometimes you can :)

    HAPPY NEW YEARS!

How long you Going to take her? It looks like she will put out a lot more resin before so...

Looks like it could handle 65-70 days no problem....

I'm letting her go to 70+ days, as I'm in no rush to get the next round going. Was thinking 72 days with a week of flush. I like to do a week long flush with H&G Drip Clean to ensure a clean straight to white ash burn on the finished product. Oh, forgot to mention, I also have a pack of "The White S1" by OG Raskal which by the looks of his gear, may also be worthwhile looking through. This #4 is a very dense and shapely girl and I'm going to run her a few more times to get her dialed in.
