2 plants start to finish if they are both females. fingers crossed
Could you describe what kind of soil you are using for the seedlings vs the larger plants?
to be honest its an amended soil which is pretty hot (ocean forest) with perlite, azomite, earth worm castings, and alaskan humus. i use the same soil until my 2nd topping. then i do my final transplant into a 5 gallon from a 1 or 2 gallon. at this point i add a soil which is the same blend + a bloom dry fert. i add only half the recommended dry fert. because the soil is already amended and i liquid feed. i bubble an organic tea every water the rest of the way in flower room. i usually give them 10-14 days in the 5 gal before i switch to 12/12. i sometimes do a 50/50 blend of happy frog / ocean forest with the same additives. you may not have the same soils available. tga subcool has a good soil mix if you do a search online
i have burnt seedlings using ocean forest. there is a ton of nitrogen in it. i prefer happy frog for seedlings but the shop was sold out. 16 oz cup of just happy frog until the 2nd 3rd set of real leaves. 3-4 leaflets
Good luck dazed1 ! Your plants look very healthy. Hey kd, Do you have Fox Farms soil in the grow shops by you ? I used to like using it when i used soil.
fox farm ocean forest is what im using this run. i add a couple things listed above. they make the happy frog also
Well. My plants dont seem to be healthy for some reason. I am getting extremely tired of growing nothing but mini plants with stunted growth.
The signs I am having are:
1. Stunted and smallish leaf growth in the first 2 weeks.
2. Noticeably SMALL plant parts and no internode growth
3. Yellow or pale leaf color.
I have tried inert mediums, I have tried soilless mix etc.
I have this idea of this being a PH problem which just adds
another gizmo I have to buy.
I wont post a photo without your consent. By the way wicked grow man!
Also hey redcat, youre looking cute today
Usualy yellowing is nitrogen or ph related. Organically grown plants like the ph around 6.5 and hydro/coco 5.8. If you buy I bluelab ph pen it will last you a couple years
above left pic #1 right pic #2
#1 18 inches probable male
#2 possible female 12 inches
Lost Sailor found a port. figured i would add another plant because its looking like #1 is going to be a male
a little update. #1 was a male. it actually pushed a couple female preflowers which had me hanging in there for 2 weeks after 12/12 flip. the stem had a great smell. sweet lemon and it was frosty. i would have thought to use this for pollen if it were the summer time.100% stretch after flip. after reading on ig this strain wasnt stable, i will be keeping an eye out for herm action. its worth the hunt. i have seen some bomb pics of this strain. i will be popping a couple more of these and wedding cake bx1's after i get rid of the males in the next run. i'm getting rid of 5 of the 7 strains i have females of and i'm running a bunch of new stuff. it takes time for me due to lack of space and i keep within the legal plant count. i usually only pop 2-3 seeds per strain at a time. i try to run reg beans to so i have to eliminate the males. #2 is about 18 inches and i will be putting it into 12/12 next sunday. i topped the lost sailor for the second time mon. and its about 12 inches
animal mints bx1 #2 20 inches. going into flower in the next couple days
lost sailor 16 inches. going to be transplanting it into a 5 gal. before next water
platinum punch is growing quickly. it looks like its going to be ready around the same time as the lost sailor to go into flower
That mint #2 sure got big. Dang nice Can't wait for more updates.
Everything looks great !
hope its a lady
