    I have an improvement to report. While using the standard HWFP supplemented formula I was noticing that the growth of the mycelium in the bag was producing a "marbled" effect where in several areas the myc was weaker.

    I gave it some thinking and some trials and it turns out that the weaker areas of myceluim were the areas where there was the bran! I have run a small batch of bags without bran supplementation and the growth of the myc is beautifully uniform!

    Next challenge is pinning. I am suing the method suggested by @Ratatoskr and also have a couple of kits with casing. Will keep you posted.

    A small but important update.

    Finally I have seen pins! Pins are in-vitro and far apart so something is wrong either with the initiation or with the sub. However, quite encouraging after 2 years of failures!
