hey, guys. its my first go with shiitake. I made up 6 blocks and decided to let 3 brown in the bag and threw the other 3 in the fc on day 24 after I noticed popcorning. now four days after birthing I am seeing this fine cottony growth!? in an experimental grain jar that i cased and threw in the cf I am seeing this same type of growth on top of the verm. It has been there over a week and not turned green so maybe the shiitake mycelium can look like this? anyhow I was wondering what you guys thought. If its trich I want to treat it or remove the block so I IMG_2314.JPG don't jeopardize anything else in the fc but if not I don't want to damage the block for no reason

I assume I have a strain that is meant for browning out of the bag because i cloned a fruit from a kit block which was white when I initially stripped it. It had a prolific first flush before browning. From what i understand these are warmer climate strains?
