Hello, I am about to start my first grow and can only find loose coir. The pet stores I've checked dont have bricks. The bag doesnt say trichom's added. Will this still work as a sub? Should I return it and try to find bricks?

Bricks are just a compressed form of the loose stuff that stores easier. Once you add water they end up to be the same as long as they don't have additive stuff in it like you checked for. Personally I'm lazy and like the easy measurement of a brick per bin and predetermined water to get roughly the right field capacity but the loose stuff is fine.

All the pet stores around me carry bricks and if nothing else there's Amazon or other online shops. Try hitting a reptile specific shop of you have any around. I believe it's used for their bedding.

Thanks, I called around a bit more and found a pet store with some bricks. I'm returning the bag of loose stuff. Bricks appear to be cheaper.
