curious to see how Long fully colonized mycelium will last if inoculated in 2lb rye berry bags? My bags are fully colonized but I need a few more days before I have everything ready for transferring to monotubs. Looking to see what temp I should keep them at once fully colonized and storing for a week tops? Currently keeping them at 75°.. any help or feedback will be awesome! Thanks all

I'd say optimally you'd like to use them right when colonized to avoid them starting using energy to try to fruit prematurely etc. I will say I am doing some grows from jars that were fully colonized for over a month. Super big pain to get them out of the jars. They are growing but definably not optimal.

I know I store petri dish in fridge to stall growth if I'm not ready to use them. Could very likely do grain the same way to slow it.

In the end the best you can do is what you can. If it works it works if not then next time. I find a lot more things work than don't once you really start experimenting

In the end fungi is super Hardy and will make due. There's a big range between totally failing and an optimal grow.

I had atl7 on just grain for 1.5 years and had it fruit some. Wasn't ideal. But it still was alive. And that was just sitting on a shelf.
