This PE monotub looks gnarly to fix.
    Thank you.

    Hey I just joined.
    That's PE?
If so, my guess is you allowed too much water to accumulate, not enough fresh air circulation or exchange to happen, and bacteria outdid most of whatever tried to grow.
First, smell it. If it smells weirdly sweet, toss it. If it smells rotten like fruit, toss it. If it smells like alcohol, toss it.
Only keep it if it still smells like earthy mushroom dirt.

I put a sterilized pint of vermiculite over my cakes and tubs if overlay growth appears, it helps pierce the flesh and allows more water and air in. It usually helps me, but in your situation, you might want to sterilize, like a pint of 50/50 coir\verm and put it on top as a thin new casing, and see if it colonizes it.

I mean, even if you did, that's so much bacteria, it's even forcing mutants to abort. The mycelium looks a bit dried and grayed, so peroxide water spray might not help. You'd have to try introducing more air if you want a good chance.

    Good luck.

It smells like mushrooms, dirt and maybe mold :confused1:. I picked the nice ones, washed them with water and let it sit in baking soda. I made a soup with potatoes, celery, onion, carrot, vegetable broth and I added miso paste and mushrooms at the end. I ate it after 2 tbsp of ACV and a full dropper of oregano oil. The peak effect occurred one hour after ingestion and effects last about 6 hours. IDK why I have numbness in my fingers, maybe I slept on top of it.
