    This one is interesting...
    Looks like a milkcap..but I don't think it is.

    1. It does not exude any fluid when cut, broken or crushed.
    2. It doesn't bruise when touched, broken or kept in the fridge.
    3. Spore print is tan/cream.
    4. Found in a driveway under hardwoods in Arkansas.
    5. When placed on the tongue it gives a strong mushroom flavor then lingering pepper ... strong pepper... spicy.
    Any ideas?

And the spores... best image I could get. I need to build a microscope mount for my phone...:)

Check if the base of the stem bruises brown

Doesn't see so...no. But these samples are getting a little dry. I've got them covered in the fridge but they don't seem to care. They are drying out anyway.

I guess I could try to grow some...lol...
I ordered some lactarius deliciosus spawn online so growing some to see if they are seems like excess.

But for reference sake and posterity, if the stem base does bruise brown ... what does this mean?
