We are currently running several versions of Cubensis for lockdown entertainment, Blue Magnolias and Blue Mazpatec mostly at the moment, keeping things simple and running jair of grains (rye or corn or WBS), once colonised setting up monotubs, we make a mix to steam sterilise of cocoa coir and verm (usually 50/50 but we experiment a lot), this is mixed with the colonised grains and used to case he top of the mono, whole thing is about 4inch deep, anyhoo enough waffle, happy to answer any questions i can and ponder the ones i can't :D

    so then videos

Firsty a nice little harvest of some beautiful Mazapatec fruits from a shoe box tek style monotub, make sure to stay around for a sneak peak of the Ban Hau Thai still growing in several tubs. . Background audio is Dennis McKenna discussing the Heroic Dosage.

Next up is Blue Mazapatec again but this time in a full size 70qt monotub, audio is Terence Mckenna discussing the fungi, excerpt I specially selected from Decondition Yourself From the Lie of History talk

These next 2 vids are both Blue Magnolia

This is Cubensis Mazapatec grown on corn in jar, then expanded to monotubs with 60/40 coir/verm mix

    loads more coming soon

New old video, I thought I'd lost this when YouTube deleted my old channel with no explanation, just found it in the archives of an old hard drive.

This is myself preparing my (home grown from seed) dried Peyote cactus for consumption back in 2012.

Just trial and error mate and we literally all learn as we grow, i grew my first fungi in mid 90s and we are honestly still learning every single day.

Do you add any form of shit to your substrates?

It seems lately everywhere it is advised to have some form of animal scat in your sub, we don't use any at all and everyone who advised us to use shit keeps asking us why our yields look so clean and big, i say dont use shit and they lose it

We start on agar, to grains (rye or wbs or corn etc) in jars, once colonisation is done we expand into totes with a 50/50mix of coir/verm to match the amount of sub coming from jars, we get 3 solid clean flushes each tote and then regardless of condition it goes into the compost heap or vegetable garden to enrich the soil (hopefully encourage outdoor beds), we put a freshly collonised tub in its place to start fruiting.

I have used compost/coir/verm but am not sure if my pasteurization was good enough I did the bucket tek and only made sub for a small shoebox style box. Started my hands at agar but have already got one contaminated plate and my spores arent looking like they are doing anything... how long does spore to agar take usually? Thanks man I will indeed keep trying it's a very enjoyable hobby!

We just work with a glove box at the minute, so we use this technique for doing our agar, it enables us to do agar work without it being exposed to open air, only things that get into the jars is what we put in, very easy to make the lids and learn the tek

    No pour agar

should start seeing action pretty quickly with anything on agar, spores or anything else that gets in should be thriving within a week

Yea I did spore to agar on the 13th inside my SAB and they dont seem to be doing much but it has been cooler in the room so maybe low temps are my culprit... I'll be nervous is nothing happens this weekend! Thanks for tips!
